Werpa Food Park is located in Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

Food parks are all the rage nowadays. For some, they are the best places for a food trip in Cebu. They offer a wide selection of savory meals and sweet treats that will definitely satisfy your palate.

Places like Sugbo Mercado, Yahay, and The Market are staples, and there are many various food parks in every town or city. Now, a new establishment has come to town, and it’s located in one of the busiest areas in the city.

Werpa stands for “Where Exciting Real Pakals (Feast) Awaits.” As the new kid on the block, this outdoor diner borrows some familiar food park aesthetics, but has its own pizzaze to stand out.

A NEW FOOD TRIP IN CEBU

Like many of its contemporaries, Werpa focuses on al fresco dining, giving off some serious carnival vibes. You will definitely feel the energy of people’s love for food as you enter its premises.

Werpa is perfect for a food trip in Cebu because of its aesthetic and design. They use container vans to house the stalls, and they have a small boardwalk on the second floor. They even have a stage for bands to perform acoustic hits while customers enjoy their food and beverages.

You can stroll along the various stalls that offer all kinds of snacks, meals, and delicacies. Fill your stomach with some tasty Cebu street foods like barbeque skewers and hefty meals like chicken wings, or get some dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth like mango shakes or milk tea.

There is a wide selection of eateries that make Werpa a great place for a food trip in Cebu.

But wait, there’s more to this food trip in Cebu!! The second floor is covered in grass, with short tables and giant bean bags scattered around for those who want to eat, chill, and relax. This is most likely what makes the park stand out from the rest. Talk about home away from home! Not only will you be able to enjoy your food, but you will also be able to relax more in this comfy area.

A food trip in Cebu is best done at night, and food parks gain the most energy during dinner time. Many customers occupy their seats and dine on a selection of Cebu food that is sure to satisfy their appetite.

HOW TO GET THERE

Werpa is located in Barangay Punta Princesa, a very easily accessible area in the city. All public utility jeepneys passing by Labangon will take you there. Upon arrival at Punta Princesa, you will have to get down at San Jose Bakeshop, located just a few meters away from the Archdiocese of Our Lady of Lourdes. You can find the food park behind a small eatery called Ngohiong Express across from the church.

If you ever get lost, you can always make use of Google Maps or Waze.

OPERATING HOURS

11AM – 9:30 PM every day

Food parks are the future when it comes to outdoor dining. The choices you have are endless, and with thousands of recipes conceived every day, there is a lot to look forward to. Werpa may be new in town, but based on how successful a food park in the Philippines typically is, there is no doubt that it will become the next great spot for a food trip in Cebu.
