STARTING STATOES
Statoes started as a side hustle, where the owner would sell hype shoes online.
Statoes started as a side hustle owned by Lance Banate, a licensed mechanical engineer and longtime sneakerhead from Negros.
Lance owned many pairs of shoes, from famous shoe lines like the Jordan 1s and Nike Dunks.
This love blossomed into a passion, creating Statoes as an online business during the COVID-19 pandemic. The store’s name is a play on the word “status,” as sneakers have somewhat become a symbol for a higher class.
Early on, Lance struggled as he personally commuted to deliver the sneakers himself. He was dedicated to creating an online presence, hoping to reach as many sneakerheads as possible.
As his business grew, Lance soon opened a pop-up store where sneakerheads could find the freshest new shoes to add to their collection.
On March 18, 2023, Statoes opened their first brick-and-mortar store at Eden’s Place, near Harold’s Evotel.
Now, Statoes offers more than just famous shoe models from the world’s biggest footwear companies, as it also promotes streetwear brands like Champion and Supreme, which have become icons of casual fashion.
As for their long-term goals, Statoes aims to expand and open more branches and hopefully move into bigger spaces.
WHAT’S NEW WITH NEW SHOES
Statoes offers everything from basketball shoes to casual shoes.
The massive collection of new shoes are displayed on the walls, which you will see as soon as you enter the shop. There are a bunch of colors and styles to choose from to help you find your style and aesthetic.
One of their most popular shoes are the Nike Dunks, which have the iconic Jordan 1-esque silhouette. It’s simple, versatile, and comfortable enough for everyday casual shoes.

If you’re coming from other areas in the city, you can ride a jeep going to IT Park and get off at Harold’s. Eden’s Place is only a few meters away.
