Get some of the best cakes and pastries in Cebu at Crosswalk Bakery + Cafe!

You may have heard of The Chocolate Leaf Patisserie, a cake shop located at J. Avila Street near Cebu Provincial Capitol.

They are widely known for their decorative cakes and pastries, which are a crowd favorite for large celebrations like weddings and birthday parties.

The grandest cake so far is the record-breaking 10 feet wide, 15 feet high birthday cake that they made in 2023, which took 16 bakers and decorators two weeks to finish.

Although their custom cakes take time to make, you can still enjoy their tasty desserts at their new pastry shop, Crosswalk Bakery + Cafe!

Its sister company, The Chocolate Leaf, is known for its custom cakes.

Their products are made by the same bakers from The Chocolate Leaf.

They opened in September 2023, situated right next to the renowned patisserie.

The cozy and spacious interior makes enjoying your favorite cup of Joe more worthwhile. Not only that, but they have a wide selection of delectable meals too!

A CUTE CAFE WITH YOUR FAVORITE CAKES AND PASTRIES

You are sure to enjoy the cakes at this cozy bakery and cafe!

Crosswalk has a vast selection of cakes created by Cheryl Go, who is the owner of The Chocolate Leaf. Their whole cakes range from Php 1,000 to Php 2,000, while a slice can cost around Php100 to Php 250.

One of their best sellers is the Cebu Mango Nut Cake, made with local mangoes, rosquillos, and cashew nuts for a harmonious blend of sweetness and crunch.

They also have the famous brownie cake that both kids and adults will absolutely love!

Other cakes include the Swirled Chocolate Temptation (baked chocolate marble cheesecake) and Carrot Euphoria (carrot cake with cream cheese filling).

They also have Banana Loaf and French Macarons.

Their crème brûlée is highly recommended, especially if you want something light but full of flavor. For less than Php150, you can experience this intricately made dessert.

While it requires a special method to prepare, this popular treat only has five ingredients: cream, vanilla, egg, salt, and sugar. It’s an elegant dessert, world-famous because of its crackling burnt sugar top and creamy vanilla custard.

Another popular food offering is their Salted Caramel Milkshake, which is topped with local dried mangoes.

During Christmas time, they sell a bunch of popular Filipino desserts like sapin-sapin, biko, puto, and kutsinta. These are all served in a tray called a bilao, which is easy to carry around and transport.

They aren’t just experts in sweet delicacies, though, as they also have a variety of food options for dates, meetings, and social gatherings. You can avail any of their food trays to cater to large events.

Their entrées are inspired by Asian cuisine, with specialty dishes like chicken salad, using ingredients such as mandarin orange and ginger dressing.

Kids will also enjoy their menu, especially with the various versions of cheeseburgers they have with fries on the side.

Speaking of menu, their truffle cream pasta is a must-try!

COLORFUL, PASTEL INTERIORS

The cafe was designed by RG Construction Services, with Christine Go as the main interior designer.

In a Facebook post, Christine mentioned that the inspiration for the design came from Cheryl Go’s passion for making cakes and pastries.

RG Construction mentioned that its use of accent colors and ambient lighting was done to exude style and comfort, creating a relaxing ambiance and photo-worthy look

This cute pastry shop is more than just a new business venture for The Chocolate Leaf, as the owner referred to it as a labor of love. Every detail was crafted with dedication and passion.
