Nightlife at Cebu IT Park: Lively Places to Go after Hours

Share this:

Cebu IT Park houses over 55,000 employees from around the island in a dozen call centers and multinational companies. Along with its various restaurants, cafes, and shopping malls, it is one of the busiest areas in Cebu City.

Most people go to IT Park for work, but others enjoy the many hotspots that have been around since its inception 23 years ago. This is especially clear when work for the day is finished.

There are a handful of nightlife spots in this bustling business district where employees from all around the city unwind after clocking out of work. These locales have such infectious energy that a large portion of Cebu’s tourists are intrigued by them.

Today, it is not just a place for companies to do business, as it has since become a favorite hangout spot for foreigners and locals to be immersed in the Cebuano lifestyle.

Whether you like bar-hopping, food trips, or leisure walks, you can do all of that at Cebu IT Park.

AFTER HOURS AT CEBU IT PARK

There are several stores and nightlife spots in this bustling business district.

Cebu IT Park has become a haven for high-end restaurants, the country’s most famous coffee shops, and fast-food chains scattered around the 27-hectare area.

Some of these establishments have branches in other areas of the city, while others are from more established corporations. Some even turn into specialty venues you can only experience within the business park.

These are must-visit places for anyone who frequents Cebu City’s many nooks and crannies.

SUGBO MERCADO

Sugbo Mercado is the first food park in Cebu that started at IT Park.

Many would consider Sugbo Mercado the best dinnertime venue for Cebuanos. It is arguably the first Cebu food park, housing dozens of independent Filipino startups for a Filipino food crawl.

You can try out a dozen choices of scrumptious seafood, hefty grilled meals, flavorful desserts, irresistible beverages, and even takeaway snacks. You can bet that there is a stall for foods you probably didn’t know you were craving.

The food park is packed with employees and first-time visitors exploring the aisles for its many food options. It may be hard to find a seat, so you should definitely go early.

The popularity of Sugbo Mercado has brought in other branches around the city and inspired newer food parks. You can also experience their brand of lively evenings in areas like IL Corso and SM Seaside’s Sky Park

AYALA CENTRAL BLOC

Cebu IT Park also has its own Ayala Mall.

You can also visit Cebu IT Park for a memorable shopping experience at the business district’s very own Ayala Mall, the Ayala Central Bloc.

This massive shopping mall stands in the middle of the 27-hectare lot with several delicious food options, fashion boutiques, and recreational areas.

The Ayala Central Bloc has a state-of-the-art cinema, a spacious food court, an arcade, and even a trampoline playground. They even have a budget-shopping area called the Garden Bloc, with stalls selling cheap clothes, shoes, and collectibles.

Busker at the Cebu IT Park

The mall’s activity center has held several special events such as conventions and festivals, and the outdoor center is a frequent venue for buskers jamming out some tunes for mall goers.

BARS

For a fruitful drinking session, there are several places at Cebu IT Park made just for you. Not only do these bars offer a menu of refreshing drinks, but each venue also has something unique to offer.

Right across Ayala Central Bloc is Park Social, a sports bar that offers alcoholic beverages and hefty meals. It is one of the best Cebu bars with live bands, and it’s the perfect venue to watch trending sporting events worldwide.

Customers also like hanging out at Pipeline, a quaint bar located next to Sugbo Mercado, which is famous for the pool tables customers can use while enjoying a beer session with friends.

OPEN FIELD

There is an open field at Cebu IT Park where you can hang out and relax.

Sometimes, you may prefer a solemn venue to spend an evening away from home. No need for big expenditures, just somewhere you and your friends can sit down and have meaningful conversations.

At Cebu IT Park, you can sit by the spacious open lot right behind the passenger terminal, where employees and students sit and relax on the green grass or benches.

It’s perfect for outdoor activities, team-building exercises, or just relaxing and unwinding after a long day. It’s even close to other areas mentioned in this article, as well as other notable eateries like Yakski Barbecue and Buffalo Brad’s.

You can buy snacks at the terminal or get your caffeine fix at Pickup Coffee. This Philippine startup has many branches around the country with its grab-and-go drinks sold at an extremely affordable price.

These popular tourist destinations show that Cebu IT Park is no longer just a place for employees and managers. The business district has become a go-to spot to unwind because of its many bustling nightlife establishments.

They have the godfather of Cebuano food parks, a state-of-the-art shopping mall, and some of the best bars in Cebu for you to experience. It’s also one of the most accessible areas in the city, with a dozen public transport vehicles passing by.

Cebu IT Park is poised to bring in more tourists and locals as more businesses open to help serve Cebu’s BPO employees. With the industry booming and more businesses on the horizon, this will soon become the premier nightlife spot for young employees in the city.
