Want to try something you will NEVER forget? There’s definitely something exciting in store for you when you visit Santa Fe!
It’s become the go-to spot for skydiving in Cebu since it houses the only United States Parachute Association (USPA) accredited dropzone in the Philippines.
This has made skydiving a must-try activity on Bantayan Island, ranking first among Tours & Activities in Santa Fe according to TripAdvisor. Out of 159 total reviews, 156 rated it as excellent.
As you free-fall from the plane and bask in the breathtaking scenery, you can see why many consider this to be one of the best outdoor recreational activities in Cebu.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO GO SKYDIVING IN CEBU
In Santa Fe, participants go tandem skydiving, which involves a jumper harnessed to the front of a more experienced instructor. This reassures beginners that someone is there to guide them while they are free-falling in midair.
Since all instructors in Santa Fe are accredited by the USPA, you can learn the basics and fundamentals, especially if it’s your first time skydiving.
TripAdvisor reviewers have lauded how kind and helpful the instructors are. So even if you get intimidated by the activity, the instructors will help you feel safe and comfortable.
Traveling from Cebu to Bantayan airport is now easier and more convenient. Throughout the 20-minute flight, you can enjoy a birds-eye-view of the peaceful, remote island with its turquoise waters and pristine beaches.
At 10,000 feet, you might be nervous and reluctant, but the instructors will guide you throughout the whole process. The tandem starts as you go free-falling for around 30 to 40 seconds.
With help from the instructor, you will release the parachute at the right height and gently fall for around five to seven minutes. You can make your landing on the shores of Kota Beach.
This marks the completion of your skydiving experience in Cebu. Not only that, but you will also receive a certificate duly signed by the instructors that you can show to your friends and family.

They also provide a Group Jump Package for a minimum of two jumpers at Php21,000 per person, but with the offerings of the Standard Package.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE SKYDIVING
- Wear appropriate clothing.
When skydiving in Cebu, it is recommended that you wear sporty and comfortable clothes that are not too tight.
Footwear must be sturdy, preferably rubber shoes. Skydive Cebu can also provide shoes if necessary.
- Be mindful of what you eat before jumping.
Avoid eating a heavy meal beforehand since this can make you feel lazy during the jump. Don’t go on an empty stomach either, as this can make you more susceptible to dizziness.
You can go for light snacks like crackers, chocolate, and juice, which help avoid hypoglycemia. Avoid drinking alcohol too, since you will need a level head when skydiving.
- Make sure you are physically fit for the jump.
Assess your capabilities before the jump, since you need to be physically and mentally prepared for such an extreme activity. Doing cardio weeks before the jump can help you physically prepare for it.
If you suffer from medical conditions such as hearing problems and comorbidities, you will have to present a medical clearance from your doctor in order to continue with the activity.
- Requirements
Each participant must present a valid ID that has a photo and states their age. Skydivers under 18 must have parental consent, and kids must be assessed to ensure they can fit into the harness.
Participants weighing over 90 kilograms must get approval from an instructor onsite and pay an additional Php2,500.
Also, it is mandatory that participants don’t go scuba diving a day before skydiving.
