Bercede Bay Resort: A Santorini-Inspired Resort in Catmon

The municipality of Catmon has its own Santorini-inspired resort, offering you the perfect vacation getaway to spend with family and loved ones.

Who wouldn’t want to have a resort all to themselves?

Free from distractions, it’s easier for you to relax and have a good time. It becomes even more special and worthwhile when you get to be in the company of friends and loved ones.

Bercede Bay Resort, located in the northern Cebu town of Catmon, is where you can experience that kind of exclusivity, making you wish you owned your own resthouse away from the city.

This private resort in Cebu used to be the personal resthouse of the Bercede Family. Due to friends and family constantly booking the place, they decided to open it to the public. With that, they can manage the maintenance of their swimming pools and other amenities.

Apart from the scenic ocean view and relaxing atmosphere, the resort makes you feel like you’re on a secluded island where you can enjoy your privacy. It’s clean and well maintained, and it has soothing aesthetics that will make you feel right at home.

The resort’s design is inspired by the Greek island of Santorini, which is also the basis for inspiration for other beach resorts on the island, like the aptly named Little Santorini Mountain Resort in Liloan and Issa’s Haven in Oslob.

Situated on a cliff, this resort in Catmon has access to a beach and two swimming pools.

The design is said to have been taken from the ideas gathered during the family’s travels, giving the resort its distinctive look.

Bercede Bay is very exclusive, with only five air-conditioned rooms that can accommodate a total of 15 people. This gives the resort ample space and a hint of privacy, making it an ideal stopover for an overnight stay if you ever plan on exploring northern Cebu.

The resort has two swimming pools, one for children (3 feet) and one for adults (5 feet). You can also access the beach where there is a diving board that you can use. If you’re not up for a swim just yet, there is an over-the-water dock hammock where you can relax and enjoy the overlooking view of the sea.

Spend your next summer vacation in Bercede Bay!

There are a number of chairs, tables, and cottages available if you prefer to just hang out with your friends and family. Unwind and munch on some snacks or enjoy a drink with your buddies as you watch the sun set.

Like the famous island of Santorini, Bercede Bay offers an overlooking view of the sea.

On an important note, you will need to make a reservation if you want to book an overnight stay or day use. Each room has its own kitchen and bathroom. There is also a grilling station if you want to cook some barbeque or seafood.

A resort in Cebu wouldn’t be complete without comfy rooms to stay in.

The management plans to expand the place so it can accommodate more people, especially during special occasions like weddings and birthday celebrations.

HOW TO GET THERE

The resort is located along the highway of the municipality of Catmon, almost 60 kilometers away from Cebu City. No need to worry if you plan on bringing a private vehicle as the resort has a big parking area.

If you wish to commute, your best option would be to take a bus at the North Bus Terminal near SM City Cebu. Make sure to ask and check if the bus will pass by Catmon.

Another famous resort in Cebu, particularly in the northern city of Danao, is Coco Palms Beach, which is also located along the highway. For directions, you can always use navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze.

The many beaches in Cebu are enough reason for tourists to visit the island, and as a result, some public resorts can get crowded from time to time. You might want to have a more exclusive experience, so Bercede Bay Resort might just be the place for you. It’s perfect for a relaxing weekend away from the busyness of life.

Whether you wish to splurge and enjoy the entire place to yourself or with the company of friends and family, a private resort like this will surely take your stress away!
