This is the city’s first escape room experience, located on the second floor of Robinsons Galleria. It features four distinctly themed rooms with interactive story games participants must engage in and accomplish.
Each room is immersive, with difficult challenges that require teamwork and resourcefulness, making it one of the most exciting activities you can enjoy with friends.
Escape Cebu opened in December 2024 and has quickly gained the interest of those looking for creative social games.
That being said, here’s what you need to know about Escape Cebu.
THE FIRST ESCAPE ROOM IN CEBU

Escape rooms are interactive adventures where participants are “locked” inside a room with difficult challenges. There is usually an enticing story involved, with a mystery that needs to be investigated.
They must work together to solve puzzles, ciphers, riddles, and more before the allocated time runs out.
At Escape Cebu, finishing the game in each of the four rooms should be done in under 45 minutes. You can have as many as eight players at a time.
Interestingly enough, Escape Cebu recommends that participants join in a large group in order to solve the mysteries more quickly. In fact, each pricing package gets cheaper if there are more players involved.
Before beginning the activity, participants are briefed by an agent about what to expect inside the room. They can also ask the agent for three clues about any part of the mission that they find themselves struggling with.

There is no age or height requirement, so even senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) can join. However, children under 13 must be accompanied by a guardian over 18 years old to participate.
THE FOUR ROOMS AT ESCAPE CEBU
- Jurassic Secrets
In this room, you will be part of a group of paleontologists excavating a rare dinosaur fossil in the Amazon Jungle. But as you prepare to evacuate due to an incoming storm, clues to a bigger mystery are discovered.
Participants must figure out the mystery, but they must do this before the storm hits and the helicopter sent to save them arrives.
- Operation Rescue
This room transports participants to a pharmaceutical company wherein several colleagues vanished after entering an elevator. It’s revealed that they were kept inside a secret laboratory, and you must bring them to safety before their captors find out.
Escape Cebu points out on their official website that this room requires players to be mobile and agile, as it involves a lot of movement. They will also require four players at minimum for the best experience.
- The Last Ride
An Agatha Christie-inspired murder mystery, The Last Ride forces players to investigate the murder of a girl inside a train. While investigating, the girl’s voice echoes throughout the train, begging participants to solve her murder.
Because of its rather violent subject matter, the Last Ride is only available for participants over 10 years old. Similar to Operation Rescue, this requires a minimum of four players to enter.
- Casino Heist (COMING SOON)
Finally, it’s time to get the big score. In Casino Heist, participants will act as a caper crew wherein they will retrieve a diamond locked inside a vault at a high-stakes casino. They must replace the diamond before the casino’s security team starts checking the area.
This escape room also requires mobile participants. So, do you think you can secure the bag?
WHY ESCAPE ROOMS ARE FUN

The challenges involved in an escape room allows one to hone their analytical and observational skills. While you can accomplish this in other everyday activities, an escape room game includes immersive stories to get you invested.
Learning becomes more fun as you and your friends interact and work together to achieve a common goal. This also provides participants an avenue to improve chemistry and cooperation.
On Escape Cebu’s Facebook Page, there are photos of colleagues and teams from different companies in Cebu participating in the challenges as it helps them with teamwork and strategizing to strengthen their bond.
This is also one of the most appropriate physical games to play with friends, as you work together and support each other throughout the 45 minutes inside the room.
Escape Cebu might be a fun team-building exercise for companies, families, and friend groups. You won’t have to look for escape room games online and instead get to do it in real life!
BOOKING A SLOT
You can book a slot through the official Escape Cebu website or by sending a private message to them on Facebook or Instagram.
As mentioned, the fee is more affordable if you participate in a group. The Full House package is the cheapest, at Php 500 each for a seven to eight person group.
Unfortunately, bookings are non-refundable, and there is a rebooking fee depending on availability. You can rebook for free if it’s more than two days before your reservation. If it’s less than two days, there is a rebooking fee of 50% for each participant.
Rebooking on the day of the reservation is not allowed.
Participants are required to be at the venue a few minutes before their schedule. If you are 10 minutes late, you can still finish the entire 45 minutes, but it will be reduced if you’re late for more than 10 minutes.

While Cebu is primarily an island destination, it’s not limited to stunning beaches and exquisite dishes. Since Escape Cebu is fairly new, you can expect it to soon show up on searches for “what to do in Cebu” whether you’re a tourist or a local.
