One of Cebu’s most cherished tourist attractions at the Crown Regency Hotel is officially back!

What is the Sky Walk Extreme?
It is a recreational activity where you “sky walk” on top of the Crown Regency Hotel, which used to be known as the tallest building in Cebu City. It was also one of the most sought-after things to do for locals and tourists.
Here, participants walk on a transparent platform located on the hotel’s 37th floor, 127 meters above ground. They can also walk along the edge while wearing an overhead safety harness.
With a 360-degree view of the entire city, it can be a terrifying but memorable experience.
They had to shut down operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, as announced in an official post on their Facebook Page on March 18, 2020.
As more establishments around the city resumed operations, this iconic tourist attraction was left seemingly abandoned. That’s finally going to change in 2025.
As reported in an exclusive article with Sunstar Cebu, Crown Regency officially reopened the Sky Walk Extreme on April 15th.
UPGRADES AND OTHER FEATURES
According to the sponsored content published by Sunstar, the attraction added several improvements, with safety as its top priority. This includes upgrades to its overhead lifeline system and body harnesses.
The overhead lifeline system is what supports the guests as they walk along the elevated platform. It is safety-certified by K-Strong, a manufacturer of fall protection and personal protective equipment with over 20 years of experience.
All participants are required to wear the signature orange and blue suits that help secure the buckles properly. It is advised that you avoid wearing accessories such as necklaces, glasses, and caps in order to move more freely.
You’re not allowed to bring phones or cameras while on the platform. There are a few lockers where you can store your belongings before you start. There are also official photographers who will take your photos, which you can get as a souvenir.
The platform is highly durable, made up of stainless steel and plexiglass panels. You can enjoy the view from above and see yourself seamlessly walking on air. It’s a stomach-churning activity that is not for the faint of heart, especially those who are afraid of heights.
While on the platform, participants either walk around or sit by the edge. Its high altitude allows for views and vantage points you won’t find anywhere else in the city.
A guide will accompany you on the walk, while a group of official photographers will help you pose for pictures.
You can simply pay the entrance fee and take an elevator to the top. There, you can check out the views from the telescopes they have installed.
