Anjo World is a popular hangout spot in the south, thanks to the many rides and attractions inside.

Welcome to everyone’s favorite amusement park in Cebu!

Anjo World has 12 adrenaline pumping rides, large-scale attractions, and memorable concessionaire stands that you can enjoy with loved ones. 

It is located in Minglanilla inside Belmont One, a business center with a food park, supermarket, and MyBus terminal (a convenient transportation option for those going to SM Seaside).  

The amusement park is open from Wednesday to Sunday, and their busiest schedule is on the weekends. 

They’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for weekly maintenance. 

WHAT TO SEE AT ANJO WORLD

The 12 theme park rides are enjoyable for a lot of people.

Anjo World’s 12 theme park rides range from calm and relaxing to heart-pounding and terrifying. There’s something for everyone, especially for the faint of heart. 

 All rides last for three minutes, with height restrictions for safety and to ensure that everyone has a worthwhile experience. 

Some rides are only open at intervals for operators to rest and check for any technical issues.

  • THE GOLDEN CAROUSEL

The Golden Carousel is Anjo World’s very own merry-go-round. 

It’s a great start to your visit because of how easy it is to get on, not to mention its reasonable intensity. 

It’s perfect for a more casual time at the park.

27 to 55 inches (2.25 to 4.5 ft) can ride with an adult

56 inches (4.6 ft) and above can ride solo

  • MR. TOAD

Mr. Toad is a milder version of the Tower Drop. It’s less intense and carries a smaller number of people, designed mostly for younger customers.

Passengers are strapped to a seat that is slowly raised around 7 meters from the ground, then dropped in an instant. Compared to the Tower Drop, Mr. Toad is much shorter and doesn’t rotate on an axis.

40 inches (3.3 ft) and above can ride solo

39 inches (3.25 ft) and below are not allowed on the ride

  • MR. CUP

You can also opt for Mr. Cup for a less intense ride at Anjo World. This is another merry-go-round type of ride, but with large spinning cups instead of horses. 

Each life-size cup can carry four people, and it rotates in place through the central wheel. You should definitely try this with friends and laugh out loud as you spin in circles.

  • LONDON TAXI

The London Taxi is their bumper car attraction inspired by UK taxi cabs. They even have a statue of a Royal Guard and a phone booth in front. 

Its main highlight, however, are the cars painted like yellow taxi cabs. 

This is recommended for competitive friend groups. Some may get used to it right away, while others may struggle to maneuver the cars. 

When you get the hang of it, driving around and crashing into your friends can be a fun way for you to unwind.

  • BUMPER BOATS

Another bumper car-style ride at Anjo World is the Bumper Boats. It replaces bumper cars with boats equipped with powerful water guns. Participants shoot at opponents while driving around the spacious swimming pool. 

You are sure to get wet with splashes of water, so make sure to bring extra clothes if you plan to take this ride.

44 to 55 inches (3.7 to 4.58 ft) and below can ride with an adult

  • SPACE SHUTTLE

Ever wanted to be an astronaut? The Space Shuttle is perfect for you! 

The is slightly more extreme compared to other merry-go-round types of rides, with spaceship-inspired cars that are raised while rotating on an axis. 

You can consider this a mid-tier ride due to its slow movement. The ride can go as high as 7 meters, giving you a good view of the entire park.

  • HIP HOP

From one extreme merry-go-round to another, Hip Hop takes it another step further. 

Instead of a slow rise, the cars go up and down, alternating between a low and high altitude. 

The continuous bouncing can get your heart racing, and its increased speed will add a bit more intensity to the ride.

  • VIKING

Viking is one of the more popular rides at Anjo World. The design is inspired by Norse mythology, wherein they use a Nordic-style ship as a vessel to carry the passengers. 

It’s also one of the less extreme rides as it doesn’t strain your body too much.  

Customers hop inside the large Nordic ship, which is swung forcefully from side to side. They can easily lose their balance if they don’t hang on to the rails during the ride.

36 to 45 inches (3 to 3.75 ft) can ride with an adult

46 inches (3.8 ft) can ride solo

  • TOWER DROP

The Tower Drop is another extreme ride many look forward to. 

It’s a bigger version of Mr. Toad, with the disc going 25 meters above ground, turning on an axis, and then dropping instantaneously. 

It’s simple, but it’s an adrenaline-pumping theme park ride.

The instant drop will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. 

One moment, you’re enjoying the view from the top, then you drop without warning. It may not be for the faint of heart, but it will definitely excite the daredevils.

  • PHARAOH

A roller coaster will always be a staple at amusement parks. Anjo World has this in the form of a Pharaoh. 

Customers turn, spin, and move around at different angles on this exhilarating ride. 

The unique thing about this ride is the seating. 

Unlike traditional roller coaster rides, this one has four seats facing each other. As you spin and turn, you can see the person in front of you screaming in terror.

55 (4.5 ft) inches below are not allowed

 OPERATING TIME:

  • BOOMERANG

Finally, the most extreme ride at Anjo World, the Boomerang. 

This consists of a disc swinging forcefully on a pendulum, which also rotates on its axis. As it swings from left to right, passengers experience some intense gravity-defying feats. 

The pendulum swings pretty high, lifting passengers several meters above ground. It rotates with so much force, as if you’re being thrown around.

This ride is NOT for the faint of heart, and should be reserved for the bravest of souls.

  • ANJO EYE

To cap off your trip, hop on the gondolas of the Anjo Eye and enjoy a scenic view of Cebu.

This is Anjo World’s very own ferris wheel, and is the biggest in the entire Visayas and Mindanao region. It is 200 feet tall. 

This is an iconic part of the amusement park that even people who haven’t gone inside already know about it. 

Its massive size and bright lights are noticeable to those passing by the Minglanilla highway at night. 

TOTAL PASSENGERS: 128 (4 per gondola)

HEIGHT RESTRICTION:

55 (4.58 ft) inches and below can ride with an adult

56 (4.67 ft) inches and above can ride solo

OTHER FUN ACTIVITIES AT ANJO WORLD

Anjo World is not just a place with exciting rides, as you can also play some fun games.

If you need to cool down and relax, there are a few tables and benches available. You can also visit some shops to purchase cute memorabilia. 

The Funtastic Arena has several games where you can win cute prizes. 

You can compete in fun parlor games like basketball or bottle toss. There are also more parlor games near the Bumper Boats area. 

Right below the Anjo Eye is a gaming arcade for kids. 

The main highlight is the mini-tower drop, which gives kids their own version of the park’s iconic ride. 

Of course, a trip to Anjo World wouldn’t be complete without visiting Snow World. 

This fun recreational area is Cebu’s very own winter wonderland, complete with a freezing cold environment and Christmas decorations. 

Unfortunately, you cannot bring your own camera inside Snow World. If you want to capture some memories during your visit here, you will have to pay Php 200 for the photos at the souvenir shop.

Exact Location: 

Belmont One, Minglanilla, Cebu

Operating Hours:

Wednesday to Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM 

Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

There is a spacious parking lot if you prefer to bring a private vehicle. If you wish to commute, taxis and Grab drivers can take you right to the entrance. 

You can also take any traditional or modernized jeepney going to Minglanilla or Naga. This will only pass in front of Belmont One, so you will have to walk from the highway to the entrance to Anjo World.
